BARKER MOSS HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT LIMITED HAVE A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR A LOCUM TEMPORARY WORKER. About the Role: Your role as a locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner will be a Civilian role. (You do not need to join the forces!) You will need to be flexible & adaptable with a proactive approach. You will join and become part of a multidisciplinary team, working within well-equipped medical centres, dental centres, or rehabilitation units where you will be valued as part of the Defence Medical Services team. You will be working alongside military personnel on Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force bases to deliver an exceptional standard of care for service personnel and their families. To provide an outpatient occupationally focused community mental health service within their area of responsibility (AOR) of the Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH)/liaison role. This will include leading in the organisation and delivery of high intensity therapeutic interventions, educational, training and mental health promotion regimes in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary mental health team at the DCMH. To manage a caseload of complex cases in line with the experience and specialist knowledge held. To carry out complex mental health assessments and subsequent reviews for personnel referred to the DCMH. To have continued responsibility for an identified case load by reviewing client needs with ongoing development and evaluation of individual treatment plans. To provide reports to and maintain liaison with Medical Officers (MOs), General Practitioners and other relevant professional agencies after initial assessment, on discharge or whenever appropriate. To participate in and provide clinical supervision and caseload management for more junior nurses. To provide high supervision for high secondary and tertiary clinical interventions. To participate in departmental clinical and business meetings and take the lead in initiatives as directed by the Clinical Lead or Department Manager. To recognise limits of competence and seek clinical supervision and/or advice as appropriate. To have an in-depth knowledge of Health Governance (HG) and the ability to lead on specific domains as directed by the HG lead.
Requirements
Must be a registered Nurse (A) Part 1 of the NMC Register. Must hold a minimum of BSc in a relevant area of PHC Practice. Candidates should have NMC registration, DBS clearance, full health immunisation report, professional and personal references, and up to date mandatory CPD training. Cervical Cytology, Immunisation and Vaccination, Minor Illness /Injuries, Travel Health, Venepuncture. (SLAiP), Child Health in Primary care, Ear care, Management of Chronic Disease/Longer Term Conditions (Asthma, COPD, CHD; Diabetes; CVD; Hypothyrodism), Quality Assurance / Healthcare Governance, Health Promotion, Preparation for Mentorship, Quality Assurance/Helthcare Governance, health Promotion.
